give WEEKEND WIFE by Erin McCarthy a go. It’s a lot of fun!
When Grant Caldwell’s professional life is put at risk
because his single status is seen as detrimental, he sees no choice but to play
along until he gets the top job. He’s certainly angry at being manipulated but
he’s already got a prospect for the job of a fiancée for the weekend.
Enter Leah Romano, actress-slash-waitress who is waiting for
her big break on Broadway. She’s also the person who’s been serving Grant his
pancake breakfast each Wednesday for the last six months.
Grant and Leah work so well as a pair. Beyond the wealth and
the good looks, these two talk to each other; they open up, they converse and
show their vulnerabilities. Coupled with the physical chemistry between them, this
book ticks so many boxes of what I look out for in a romance book.
I definitely recommend this book and I’ll certainly be on
the lookout for more of this author’s work.
