Faith failed him.
Ambition drove her.
Serendipity brought them together.
They’ve never met, but their paths run in the same direction—home for the holidays.
Yet their reasons for leaving are as different as the reasons they return.
Meeting by chance along a 1400 mile stretch of highway when a snowstorm grinds traffic to a halt, they have no choice but to jointly ride it out.
Exposing a common thread, leading them from the past to the present, it’s through the innocent eyes of a toddler, they discover a future.

MY THOUGHTS

LULLAY is a wonderful winter/holiday romance with a couple whose authenticity and sincerity leaps off the pages.

Matt and Tana are separately taking road trips and cross paths a couple of times as they’re following a similar route. Fate brings them together when bad weather strands them at the same hotel.

Both Matt and Tana are at a reflective point in their lives. They’re remembering their history, taking stock of their current situation and thinking of what the future might hold. For a novella-length read, I felt the author was able to give the characters a good level of depth. I enjoyed getting to know them individually and as a couple. Their love story is appealing and hopeful.

There is great chemistry between the two but it’s not a hot-and-heavy read because there’s a cute little cherub in the form of Tana’s daughter Flynn who is part of this charming trio. I loved how Matt took to Flynn from the start. For him, the allure was Tana as a woman, Flynn as a sweet child, and Tana and Flynn as a team he wanted to join.

A great holiday read.

Driven to make her books about 'real' people; with characters who are perhaps less than perfect, but just as deserving of romance, thrills and chills, and their own slice of happy.
