My Thoughts
This was an easy to read, turbo-charged, over the top
Beauty-and-the Beast style book.
James and Della spy each other across a restaurant but
circumstances conspire against them and they never get to meet. That same night,
James is involved in a horrific car accident that leaves him scarred. Scarred
enough for him to remove himself from his previous life and live in seclusion.
In a last ditch attempt to bring James back into the world
of the living, his work colleagues collude to finally bring him and Della together.
And what better way than stranding them together in a snowy chalet during a
storm with no way out?
Everything in this book is fast and amplified; the instalove, the sex, the situations and the characters backstories. And it all works very well. Even though it’s a quick read, the characters are sufficiently developed. James and his Della ‘Delicious’ are made for each other.
